Safety, Reliablility and Ease of Operation

Purate® technology has undergone rigorous process reviews to ensure safe operation.
The generator is constructed of high quality, rugged components to avoid failures
that can lead to accidents or downtime. Eka even uses and provides a special
hose connection for offloading Purate® to prevent the accidental introduction of Purate® into the wrong tank, or of another product into the Purate® tank. The
onboard PLC controller provides easy to configure setpoints, process information to
the operator, and takes the guess work out of set up and operation.
Sodium chlorite based generators have a history of maintenance problems and control
difficulties. Components used to manufacture sodium chlorite generators often do
not match the quality used in Purate® systems. Handling chlorine gas and sodium
hypochlorite present safety issues. In contrast to the precautions that Eka takes
with Purate® deliveries, there have been notable occasions where sodium chlorite was
delivered into the wrong tank creating a serious safety situation. Sodium chlorite
generators often use inadequate controls for the feed chemicals resulting in frequent
operator attention and maintenance. |
